Rappelling course

Rappelling (abseiling) – The opposite of climbing – which is to say – the participant starts at the top and, connected to a rope, “walks” down a 7 or 12 meter tall rock wall. A little scary the first time, but everyone will be accompanied by an instructor on their first rappel.

Rappelling is a popular activity that anyone can master, regardless of physical condition. Participants quickly learn the technique and most will usually find it very fun to “jump” down the walls.

Rappelling is a nice family activity for those with older children/teenagers. Children under the age of 10 – 12 will usually find this activity to be too scary. The parents must decide for themselves if this course is suitable for their children.

We will start the course by going through the day’s program, equipment and safety measures. Every guest will receive required equipment for the activity, such as harness, helmet, headlamp and other relevant equipment. We have enough equipment for everyone so that we will be able to adjust and control the equipment to make sure that everyone is wearing it correctly before the activity starts.

The wall we start out with is 7 meters tall, the next one is 11 meters and, for those who wish to do so, we will finish with a wall of 25 meters which goes straight down to the ocean. Here, the boats will be driving right beneath your shoes.
