School Group Activities

Activity Day at Base Camp from 10:00 to 14:00

For students in 1st – 7th grade we recommend the following package:

Rope ladder – Climb up a 10 meter long free hanging ladder. Exciting activity where often the competitive instinct is tested.

Rock climbing – Our climbing wall is outfitted with climbing holds and is well suited for beginners. The wall has varying levels of difficulty.

Suspension bridge – Wiggly suspension bridge which crosses over a ravine. We guarantee tickling stomachs. The activity is thoroughly secured and also suitable to those with back problems.

“Chairlift” – Breathtaking return from the suspension bridge. Here the guests sit in a “lift” with two seats while they glide across the ravine.

Bow and arrow – Simple activity that anyone can participate in.

Sausage grilling on a camp fire – We will light a camp fire and hand out sticks for grilling sausages. The students have to bring their own sausages.

For students in 8th – 10th grade we recommend the following package:

Rappelling (abseiling) – The opposite of climbing – which is to say – the guest starts at the top and, connected to a rope, “walks” down a 7 or 12 meter tall rock wall. A little scary the first time, but everyone will be accompanied by an instructor on their first rappel. We also arrange courses in rappelling.

For fit students who attend sports orientated schools and similar:

Via Ferrata – A 3 hour climbing activity with several exciting rappels (abseils). We have constructed a greatly varied and exciting route that anyone with the wish to do so, can complete. This activity contains balance, climbing across gaps, up ladders, traversing and moving up ravines. The route is divided into 5 sections, and every participant is free to choose whether they want to climb all the sections. We will start off with a course for those of our guests who have not rappelled before.

Prices:

Activity package for up to 30 people including teachers – 4 hours

5000 NOK (June and August 6000 NOK)

School classes pay for the amount of time allotted. Small classes will therefore be able to do more activities than large classes.

Payment – The class receives a written confirmation and an advanced invoice with payment due at the latest three days before the event. Binding agreement with the number of participants must be reached at the latest a week before the event. Click to see terms.

Requirements for equipment and clothing – The students should wear normal outdoor activity clothing and shoes suited for walking in the forest and on the bare rock-face.

The event starts at a predetermined time and it is therefore important that all guests arrive on time, so there is time to complete the entire program. We will walk together the 900 m to Base Camp, and we do not recommend that anyone arrives later than the others, or leaves before the end.

Teachers with their own cars do not have the opportunity to drive these in to camp. We can provide transport if it is needed by physically impaired students.

Insurance – All students are participating at their own risk. It is recommended that you check if the students are insured by the school. Aktiv Fritid – ut på tur is liability insured by IF Skadeforsikring. Read more about insurance here.

Welcome to an exciting day where the students will meet challenges and have positive experiences in the nature!
