The vibrant and casual feeling of a meal served in Gamma, with the open fire, charming oil lamps and candlelight provides an atmosphere of safety and warmth. The food is homemade of local, organic ingredients
and served with a great combination of drinks. This is the perfect place for good times and creative conversations – many strategic decisions has been made around our tables.

You’ll experience
Base Camp lies on the beachfront on beautiful Tjøme island. Gamma, the dining hall, is well protected from natures forces, but if you’d like you can walk up the wooden staircase to the top of the mountain and watch the
beautiful view and maybe see the sun set on the horizon.

In Gamma we have a high standard in regards to our service and our interior. The food is made on site, with as much local and organic ingredients as possible – always complimenting the best the season has to offer. The open fire, flickering candlelight and warm pelts of sheep creates a calming atmosphere year round. Even on the coldest of days, your guests will be warm and well taken care of in Gamma.

How to get to Base Camp
We will meet you and your guests at Scandic Havna Hotel for a pleasant hike of 900 meters to Base Camp.
